Fort Worth’s Whitley Penn accounting firm has acquired Dallas-based accounting firm JonesBaggett LLP. Cecil Jones, managing partner of JonesBaggett, and team will join the Dallas office of Whitley Penn boosting the firm’s Dallas area presence to 248 employees. No price was released for the transaction. The addition of the JonesBaggett team expands Whitley Penn’s financial institutions practice to include banks ranging in asset size from $60 million to $13 billion. These bank clients are located throughout Texas and neighboring states. Jones will serve as the firm’s practice group leader for the Financial Institutions Industry Group.
