Golfsmith closing some stores, holding going-out-of-business sale

After filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and being acquired by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Golfsmith is holding going-out-of-business sales at 59 locations, while 30 stores will remain open.

Gordon Brothers, Hilco Merchant Resources and Tiger Capital Group will manage the complete liquidation of inventory, fixtures and equipment at all locations being closed.

Dick’s partnered with Hilco Global and Tiger Capital Group on the winning $70 million bid. If you have Golfsmith gift cards and merchandise credits, you’d better hurry as those will only be honored at all closing stores through Nov. 11.
