Health Wildcatters has announced the nine companies selected to participate in its 2017 program and be added to its portfolio.
Dallas-based Health Wildcatters is a mentor-driven health care seed-fund accelerator that offers a 12-week program for start-ups, focusing on those with health-related innovations.
Companies added to Health Wildcatters’ portfolio receive a seed investment, access to mentors, advisors, office space and strategic resources to help them develop and grow. The final event of the program is a “Pitch Day,” to take place Nov. 8 at the Majestic Theater, where the startups will pitch to an audience of investors and the Dallas community.
“This is a unique class we have this year with the majority of startups being in the medical device space,” Health Wildcatters CEO Hubert Zajicek said in a news release. “We look forward to watching as they work through their unique business models and developing these devices that could change the healthcare industry drastically.”
With the addition of the fifth class of startups, the Health Wildcatters’ portfolio will include 51 companies across the healthcare industry.
