GCG Marketing has promoted Carlos Ortega to associate creative director of digital and Lauren Coleman to associate creative director.

Ortega joined GCG in 2014 and was digital art director before his promotion. Coleman joined GCG as an art director in 2015 and was promoted to senior art director in 2017.

Elevate Credit Inc. of Fort Worth has appointed David Peterson as chief credit officer. Peterson joined the company in 2010 and has held a number of jobs of increasing responsibility in areas including credit strategy, risk, portfolio management and fraud.

Previously he was with AmeriCredit Financial Services. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA from the M.J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University. He replaces Brian Biglin, who left for personal reasons.

Sharla Chambers has joined Ciera Bank in Fort Worth as senior vice president and chief operating officer, where she will oversee the accounting, finance, information technology, marketing and human resource functions. She previously was chief financial officer and chief operating officer in the Farm Credit System. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA from Baylor University. She is a certified public accountant with experience in public and corporate accounting as well as retirement plan administration and compliance.

Molly Elizabeth Robben has joined the Consulting Services Division of JTaylor as a senior analyst.

Robben previously was part of the EY Assurance staff in Dallas, first as an intern in 2015 and as an employee beginning in August 2016. She graduated from the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University, where she also earned a master’s degree in accounting, summa cum laude. While in Dallas, she organized a service project at the North Texas Food Bank for a group of 60 EY employees and has been an active member of the Junior League of Dallas.

GOVERNMENT

Teresa Ayala, a commercial contract professional, has been appointed to the Trinity Metro board of directors by District 2 Councilmember Carlos E. Flores.

Ayala is a senior contracts compliance and privacy administrator with Texas Health Resources and is a member of the national Health Care Compliance Association. Her professional experience extends to mentoring and managing at Top 25 Fortune companies throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, South America and Asia.

Trinity Metro is governed by an 11-member board of directors, consisting of eight Fort Worth City Council appointees and three Tarrant County Commissioners Court appointees.

HONORS & AWARDS

Grapevine firefighter/paramedics James Jansen and Tyson Doucet won the first place title at the EMS World Clinical Challenge while attending the EMS (Emergency Medical Services) World Expo in Nashville, Tennessee.

LAW

Gov. Greg Abbott has appointed Christopher R. Wolfe as judge of the 213th Judicial District Court in Tarrant County for a term set to expire Dec, 31, 2020, or until his successor is elected. Wolfe, of Fort Worth, is deputy branch manager of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Texas–Fort Worth Division. He has been an assistant U.S. attorney for 15 years. He is a member of the Federalist Society, Fort Worth Chapter. Additionally, he is a former foster parent with Arrow Child and Family Ministries and former volunteer baseball coach with University Little League. Wolfe received a bachelor’s degree in history from Baylor University and a law degree from the Baylor School of Law.
