Tandy Leather Factory reports higher February sales

Tandy Leather Factory Inc. of Fort Worth has reported February sales of $6.8 million, up 1 percent compared to $6.7 million in the same month last year.

“Our February sales were softer than we prefer, even with the extra selling day,” said interim CEO Shannon L. Greene, commenting in a news release.

Several stores had what Greene called very strong sales that compensated for weaker sales from other stores.

“The pressure on international operations continues due to the fluctuation in foreign currency exchange rates compared to a year ago,” Greene said.
