Texas Motor Speedway and Ranch radio owners in broadcast deal

The owner of KFWR 95.9 FM The Ranch has been named the official radio broadcast partner of Texas Motor Speedway.

Fort Worth-based LKCM Radio Group L.P., whose affiliates include The Ranch headquartered in downtown, signed a three-year agreement with Texas Motor Speedway to broadcast the Duck Commander 500 NASCAR doubleheader, Firestone 600 INDYCAR/NASCAR doubleheader and AAA Texas 500 NASCAR tripleheader. The agreement requires LKCM Radio Group to host at least 32 hours of live broadcasts from all three of those events.

The Ranch will be responsible for providing race traffic conditions and broadcasting live from the track, as well as doing promotions during the events.

In addition, LKCM Radio Group will broadcast the Daytona 500 on Feb. 21 and INDYCAR’s Indianapolis 500 on May 29. The agreement also has LKCM broadcasting other various motorsports shows and segments throughout the week.

The partnership with Texas Motor Speedway is the first time LKCM Radio Group has partnered with a sports entity since the group began in 2002.

LKCM Radio Group broadcasts in north central Texas and southern Oklahoma. Along with The Ranch, LKCM Radio Group also owns KTFW 92.1 FM, Hank FM based in Glen Rose, Texas; KXPN 95.5 FM, ESPN based in Scotland, Texas; and KVSO 1240 AM, Texoma Sports in based in Ardmore, Oklahoma, among other stations.
