The Hangman returns

The Hangman returns

Hangman’s Houses of Horrors, the top charity-benefiting haunted attraction in the world, will open Sept. 16 for its 28th season in Fort Worth.

Located at 4400 Blue Mound Road at the corner of Blue Mound and Meacham Boulevard, Hangman’s will be open selected evenings through Oct. 31. Hangman’s specializes in terrifying and disorienting scares. The haunted tour includes three separate attractions, which involve 1,000 adult volunteers and 200 local companies that contribute time, talent and supplies. A festival area will feature live bands, food trucks and activities.

The spooky production is all for a good cause. The house has entertained more than half a million patrons and donated almost $2 million to local charities.

This year’s beneficiaries are the American Cancer Society, a Wish with Wings, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Fort Worth, Rocky Top Therapy Center and SafeHaven of Tarrant County. All funds remain in the area for local programs and services.

Meacham Boulevard is closed for construction so patrons will need to take the Blue Mound exit off Loop 820.
