Evans will assume his role following the retirement of the bank’s current CLO, Dan Mocio. “Both Compton and Evans bring a total of six decades of industry experience with them to Worthington Bank, which will be a great benefit to the company and to our customers,” said Gary Price, Worthington Bank CEO. “Their expertise and leadership skills will help drive growth, and we’re excited to see the impact they will have on Worthington Bank in the years to come.”
Before joining Worthington Bank, Brian Compton spent two decades in the industry, moving from Branch Manager to Commercial Lender, and then into Regional and Market Leadership roles. Prior to banking, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, Infantry. He has a Business Management degree from the University of Tampa and attended the ABA/Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Compton is a father of three and enjoys time spent in the great outdoors.
Mark Evans has spent more than 40 years in lending and executive management roles with banks in both Louisiana and Texas. His leadership, underwriting and relationship building skills have made him an asset and propelled his growth in the industry. Evans earned his B.B.A. in Finance at Baylor University and is also a graduate of the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at SMU.
