The best-fried calamari dish around (with Castelvetrano olives!), a stellar Shrimp Panzanella salad or eggs in purgatory, you can never go wrong when chef Scott Lewis is in the kitchen.

Go for the Gorilla Bread (Monkey bread with sage sausage, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce), stay for the five types of benedicts, alone. One of the most comprehensively delicious brunch menus in town.

Chef Point Cafe:
Long-heralded, worth the drive and always delicious, this converted gas station north of Fort Worth serves an excellent lobster bisque, as well as its famous “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” roasted duck and bread pudding.

The Bearded Lady:
This Magnolia Avenue haunt has terrific food, from its breakfast burger (sausage and ground beef patty with a fried egg and bacon) to a killer smoked salmon salad.

If buffets are your thing, you could hardly do worse at this new triple hat of an entertainment complex in Clearfork. The “bottomless” buffet has omelet, waffle and carving stations. There’s even a kids table with unlimited french fries. Bocce and bowling are extra.
