Alzheimer’s Association Fort Worth steer roast ignites passion to end Alzheimer’s

The North Central Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is hosting ABLAZE – Igniting Passion for a Cure on Friday, March 23, a news release said. This inaugural event is a chef inspired 24-hour steer roast that will be presided over by Texas chef Louis Lambert in his custom built pit.

Fort Worth chefs Andrew Dilda, formerly of Clay Pigeon; Sarah Hooton of Central Market Fort Worth; Mike Micallef of Reata; and Stefon Rishel of Texas Blue Steakhouse will prepare additional courses to complement the roasted steer.

JR Clark of Central Market Fort Worth is curating the wine to be served at Ablaze, which will conclude after the dinner with an auction and entertainment provided by Legacy 4.

The Alzheimer’s Association chose Firestone & Robertson Distilling Company’s Whiskey Ranch as the venue for the event, which will help raise funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

In addition to a silent and live auction, T.M. “Roe” Patterson, president and CEO of Basic Energy Services, will unveil his book, Crude Blessings at the event, the release said. Roe’s father, Glenn Patterson, was well known in the Texas oil and gas field and the book is a tribute to him, as he battled Alzheimer’s disease.
