Plano-based At Home Group Inc. announced Wednesday, Jan. 3, a new partnership with Shanty 2 Chic to feature the sisters’ exclusive designs. Shanty 2 Chic is made up of sister entrepreneurs and Fort Worth natives Ashley Turner and Whitney Gainer.
“This is such a great opportunity to take our designs that you won’t see anywhere else and feature them in At Home’s stores,” Turner said in a news release.
“Our designs marry form and function, they serve a purpose while making a space beautiful,” Gainer said in the release. “The pieces at At Home are perfect for those wanting unique home décor but who don’t have the time or the tools to build it on their own.”
Gainer and Turner are self-taught carpenters with about nine years of experience in rebuilding and designing furniture. The pair hosts their own DIY TV show and operate a Youtube channel that pulls in millions of views. According to the release, the Shanty 2 Chic sisters aim to inspire their followers to “create beautiful homes at an affordable price.”
The At Home line will include almost 100 pieces of modern farmhouse furniture and décor. The pieces will be featured in stores across the country in this month, featuring everything from headboards and bedroom furniture to dining and coffee tables to modular bookcases.
“This influencer-designed collaboration is the first of this scale for At Home,” Alissa M. Ahlman, At Home chief merchandising officer, said in the release. “The Shanty 2 Chic sisters are experts in farmhouse style and we worked with them very closely to ensure great quality and continuity in the materials and finishes, creating a truly curated collection. Shoppers are getting the same great furniture designs in our stores that have made Shanty 2 Chic so popular.”
