The grand opening of the first Paris Baguette location in Fort Worth will be May 31. The cafe bakery celebration will be located at 5440 North City, Fort Worth.
Business owners Smitha Suravaram, Harisha Gunna and Ratnakar Pingili are excited and ready to make their mark and impact in the Fort Worth bakery industry.
For this family trio, the opening marks more than a new business venture—it’s the realization of a dream rooted in childhood memories. Sisters Gunna and Suravaram grew up around their parents’ bakery in India, where they developed a deep love for baking. Even as their careers took them into medicine and technology, they never lost that love. Now, alongside Gunna’s husband, Pingili, they are combining their professional experience with their passion for fresh-baked goods to bring something special to the Fort Worth community.
At Paris Baguette, everything is baked fresh each day in the store—from cakes and pastries to savory items. The trio is excited to offer more than 70 handcrafted options to locals. Beyond the food, they’re focused on building a warm community space, creating local jobs, and laying the foundation for future growth in the region.
Baking is not new to the team. Smitha shares that their inspiration for this venture is rooted deeply from their time growing in India around their parents’ bakery. “My sister and I developed a deep appreciation for the joy that fresh-baked goods can bring to the community. The love for baking remained in our hearts and we (my sister, my brother-in-law and I) worked to make that dream a reality. At Paris Baguette, there’s so much variety — around 70 different bakery items. The freshness, the quality and the menu diversity really excited us. It’s something we’re proud to offer to our community.”
Because of the growth and development taking place, they felt Fort Worth was the perfect city, and this was the perfect time to open their first cafe. “We were researching multiple locations, and this location particularly interested us as there was a lot of new development going on with multiple residential and businesses opening in the area. We felt this would be an ideal location to start this venture.
As it relates to their future plans, Smitha says, “This is just the beginning of our plans. We’re excited to create new jobs and serve the community. Building a team and being part of Fort Worth’s growth is something we’re really looking forward to. While this is our first cafe, we have a vision for future expansion in the Fort Worth market and beyond. We’re confident this first store will be a success, and our plan is to continue growing from here. A year from now, we hope to sign on for more locations. That’s the vision.
