The Fort Worth Business Press is getting a new lease on life as The Business Press under new ownership team Shevoyd and Anjie Hamilton, who also publish The Metro Report.
“We want to build on the rich 36-year history of this important publication, which provides valuable information about the business community in this great city,” says Shevoyd, who will serve as CEO and Publisher of the revamped periodical.
“Our vision is not complex. We want to provide a quality product to our readers and advertisers that connects and informs businesses, executives, leaders and entrepreneurs in Fort Worth—helping them build on and improve their success. We want to be deliberate in our efforts to reconnect, rebuild and establish new relationships within the Tarrant County business community.
With more than 40 years of combined experience in the newspaper industry, the couple has worked in most areas of the business – including editorial, sales, event marketing and operations – and are ready for the challenges and the opportunities that lie ahead.
Shevoyd’s experience in local print media started at The Fort Worth Star Telegram, and includes years spent with both the Lion Heart Group and the Fort Worth Business Press. Anjie began her newspaper career working in Accounting at The Fort Worth Business Press before transitioning to work closely with the sales team and editorial department. Most recently, she served as the company’s event coordinator.
In 2019, the couple founded The Metro Report, a local bi-monthly digital and print publication that highlights the work of women-owned and minority businesses in the DFW Metroplex. Their goal is that together, these publications will highlight the many amazing executives and companies that serve the diverse citizens of Fort Worth and Tarrant County.
“Fort Worth is our home, and we are passionate about this city and region,” said Anjie. “As this area continues to experience explosive growth, we want to do our part in contributing to making Fort Worth a great place to live, work and visit. We look forward to ushering The Business Press into the next decade of success.”
Anjie and Shevoyd have been married for 31 years and have worked together for the past 19 years. The couple has 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
