Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza announced today that two more locations will open in North Texas, including one in Fort Worth.
The first Fort Worth restaurant will be in the new Waterside Shopping Center and another will open in The Colony. Both will open in June.
The new Blaze restaurants will have “build-your-own” artisanal pizzas featuring unlimited toppings, craft beer, and outdoor patios.

The Colony location (5050 State Hwy 121) also features a 2,800-square-foot-interior with 65 seats inside and another 25 seats on the outdoor patio.
In support of the company’s commitment to “Intelligent Choices for Our Pizzas, People & Planet”, the new restaurant will be constructed with recycled and sustainable materials, use energy-efficient LED lighting, and will feature eco-friendly, compostable packaging.
“We’re taking pizza back to its roots. By making dough in-house, carefully sourcing ingredients, and cooking by fire, we’re giving guests a great way to enjoy artisanal pizza without the wait,” says Jim Mizes, president & COO of Blaze Pizza. “We pride ourselves on the authenticity of our food and creating a sustainable, engaging and exciting atmosphere for our guests.”
According to a press release: Blaze Pizza is a modern day “pizza joint” that has been inspiring excitement and cultivating fanatics for its custom-built artisanal pizzas, freshly made salads, blood orange lemonade and s’more pies since it opened its first location in 2012. Each restaurant features an interactive open-kitchen format that allows guests to customize one of the menu’s signature pizzas or create their own, choosing from a wide selection of carefully sourced, high-quality ingredients – all for under $8 with unlimited toppings. The 11-inch pizzas are then sent to an open-flame oven – the centerpiece of the restaurant – where dedicated pizzasmiths ensure that the thin-crust pies are fast-fire’d and ready to eat in just 180 seconds.
Each restaurant makes its own dough from scratch using a recipe developed by critically-acclaimed Executive Chef Bradford Kent (known within the company as the “Pizza Whisperer”), which requires a 24-hour fermentation period to produce his signature light-as-air, crisp crust. For pizza fans with specific dietary needs, Blaze Pizza offers gluten-free dough and vegan cheese. The new DFW-area restaurants will also feature a selection of Texas craft beers from Community Beer Co. and (512) Brewing Co.
Blaze Pizza first Texas location debuted in Texas in May 2015 at Frisco’s Center at Preston Ridge (3311 Preston Road), followed by three additional locations in 2015: Sugarland (16100 Kensington Dr.) in July, Houston (Woodlake Square, 9650 Westheimer Rd.) in August and Austin (14009 N. Research Blvd. at Lakeline Commons) in December. A fifth location opened in Arlington (841 E. Lamar Blvd.) in February 2016.
