A popular event for entrepreneurs and small business owners is making a triumphant return to the Devoyd Jennings Business Assistance Center (BAC) later this month.
The quarterly Breakfast at the BAC series shines a spotlight on local Fort Worth business owners who share the real-world stories behind their entrepreneurial journey — the wins, the setbacks and the lessons learned — over coffee and breakfast.
The return of the series kicks off with Doug Renfro, president of Renfro Foods Inc., who will discuss how his family business — which began at his grandparents’ house in the 1940s — has grown into a thriving global brand.
The event is sponsored by NBT Financial, Accelerate Fort Worth and the City of Fort Worth.
Seats are limited, so register now before it sells out.
What’s coming up: Registrations are also open for several other events coming up at the BAC in the coming weeks.
- ULI UrbanPlan for Communities is a free, full-day workshop for residents and community leaders who would like to learn more about the challenging issues, roles, tradeoffs and economic choices that shape our built environment, and the important roles citizens can play in land use decisions in their neighborhoods. (Register by Friday, April 25.)
- Skills for Small Business Workshop is a free workshop showcasing how the Texas Workforce Commission’s “Skills for Small Business Program” can help businesses train and upskill their employees.
Campus partners such as SCORE are also hosting regular workshops at the BAC, and of course, 1 Million Cups Fort Worth meets at 9 a.m. every Wednesday at Accelerate Fort Worth to help entrepreneurs work through business challenges and identify new opportunities.
