On Friday, September 27, Caron Texas, an addiction treatment center and part of the Caron Treatment Centers network, will host its third annual Caron Cares event in Dallas, TX from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (registration begins at 8:00 a.m.) This educational symposium is a forum for parents, families and professionals to discuss addiction’s impact on families and communities as well as the recovery journey. Delivering keynote speeches during the day are Tim Cowlishaw, Dallas Morning News columnist and author of Drunk on Sports, as well as former news anchor Laurie Dhue. The day will also include two sessions with workshops addressing issues such as Young Adult Treatment, Addiction in an Older Adult and Spirituality as Mindfulness.
