Celebrate Korean Heritage Night with the Texas Rangers

Join the Texas Rangers in celebrating Korean Heritage Night on Friday July 28 at the home game between the Rangers and the Baltimore Orioles.

The news release says that pre-game ceremonies will include:

– a performance of the Korean National Anthem by Yisabel, a Popera singer

– an on-field gift exchange between Sang Hoon Na, the Executive Director of the Korea Tourism Organization, and Shin-Soo Choo, a designated hitter for the Rangers

– pre-game autograph signing with Choo

The news release also said that for only Friday night, there will be exclusive Choo hats available for purchase. The proceeds will go to a $10 cash donation for the Shin-Soo Choo Foundation which benefits local scholarships for Korean students.

Other events that will occur on Friday include:

– a pre-game appearance of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic winter games mascots

– Taekwondo performances

– a presentation of the US and Korean flags

– a video from the Korea Tourism Department and the Korean Consul
