Costco to open second Fort Worth location

Costco Wholesale Corp. is set to open a membership warehouse in North Fort Worth at 8 a.m. May 9. The 150,000-square-foot warehouse, the company’s 24th Texas store, is located at 8900 Tehama Ridge Parkway, at the northwest corner of Interstate 35W and North Tarrant Parkway. Costco operates a location in southwest Fort Worth at 5300 Overton Ridge Blvd. and has a warehouse in Southlake and one in Arlington. Like other Costco locations, the new North Fort Worth location will offer name-brand and private-label merchandise. The property includes a bakery, deli, gas station, optical department, pharmacy, tire center, hearing aid center, and food court. Costco’s home office is located in Issaquah, Wash. The company has 73 million cardholders and had annual revenue in 2013 of $102.9 billion. Costco Wholesale Corp. is publicly traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol COST.
