||Most of what Downtown Fort Worth Inc. does can be seen on the street, while some happens behind the scenes. DFWI plays an important role in Downtown projects by bringing key stakeholders to the table, raising funds, and supporting planning efforts. DFWI is Fort Worth’s downtown advocacy organization and it manages the downtown planning process, two Public Improvement Districts, the downtown Tax Increment Finance District, two city parks as well as the highly popular Main Street Arts Festival and Parade of Lights. Andy has served as Downtown Fort Worth, Inc.’s president since 2003. He began his career in commercial real estate in Florida before moving on to join the Tampa Downtown Partnership as its Director of Marketing and Business Development. He later served as Executive Director of Shreveport, Louisiana’s Downtown Development Authority and while there was instrumental in relocating City Hall back to downtown after a 40-year absence, created a new public parking management program and authored the downtown strategic plan. Andy was Chairman of the United Way of NW Louisiana in 2001. Andy was also the President of Downtown Shreveport Unlimited and the Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation.In addition to serving on a variety of civic committees in Fort Worth, Andy serves on the Fort Worth Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Boards of Directors. Andy was the Chairman of the International Downtown Association in 2010.
