Former Irving ISD teacher grows planner and stationery brand from acreative side business into an Inc. 5000 company

FORT WORTH, Texas — kellofaplan, a Fort Worth-based planner and
stationery company founded by former teacher Heather Kell, has been named to the 2026 Inc.
5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies, earning a ranking of No. 3701..

Kell founded the company in 2015 while working in education, initially sharing her passion for
decorative and functional paper planning online. What began as a creative side business has
grown into a nationally recognized brand offering planners, journals, sticker books, stationery,
workshops, and educational resources to customers across the country.

“Being named to the Inc. 5000 is one of those moments that makes you stop and look back at
how far you have come,” said Heather Kell, founder and CEO of kellofaplan. “This company
started with a love of planning, a willingness to take a chance, and an incredible community that
continued to show up and support us. I am so proud that a business built right here in Fort
Worth is being recognized on a national level.”
kellofaplan has grown from a one-person operation into a thriving small business supported by a
dedicated team and a Fort Worth warehouse. The brand is known for combining creativity with
practical planning tools that help customers organize their responsibilities, pursue meaningful
goals, and make room for the people and experiences that matter most.

Its guiding message, “Plan a life you love,” reflects Kell’s belief that planning is not about
creating a perfect schedule. It is about helping people become more intentional with their time
and build lives that align with their priorities.
The company’s growth also reflects continued consumer interest in paper planning, journaling,
memory keeping, and creative hobbies.
“People often assume everything has moved to digital, but our customers are looking for
something tangible,” Kell said. “They want tools that help them slow down, clear their minds,
and feel more connected to their plans. Paper still has a very meaningful place in people’s
lives.”
