Fort Worth attorney appointed to national Sister Cities Board

Fort Worth attorney Greg Jackson has been appointed to the Sister Cities International Board of Directors in Washington, D.C.

Sister Cities was founded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. Sister Cities unites tens of thousands of citizen diplomats and volunteers in nearly 500 U.S. cities with more than 2,000 partnerships in more than 140 countries, Sister Cities Fort Worth said in a news release.

Jackson owns his own practice in Fort Worth called Greg Jackson Law. He has served on the Fort Worth Sister Cities Board of Directors since 2014, serving as the Budapest, Hungary Chair, and as a member of the Executive Committee and the Long-Range Planning Committee.

“Fort Worth will be well represented by Greg as we expand our global connections. He is a passionate individual with a belief in the mission of international understanding and cultural respect,” said Veronica Chavez Law, chairwoman of the Board of Directors.

Jackson has visited two of Fort Worth’s nine sister cities, including Budapest, Hungary, and Trier, Germany, and has traveled internationally extensively. He has a lifelong love of foreign cultures, politics, history and languages.

Past representation from Fort Worth Sister Cities on the national board includes directors emeriti Michael S. Hyatt and Mary Palko, advisory board member Carlo Capua and President/CEO Mae Ferguson.
