Fort Worth Chamber Hires Angela Hall as Vice President – Marketing, Events & Communications

The Fort Worth Chamber (FWC) is proud to announce the appointment of Angela Hall to the position of Vice President – Marketing, Events & Communications. This role, with responsibility for oversight and execution of all internal and external communications and marketing strategies, will be pivotal at the FWC, which serves as the leading voice of business in the nation’s fastest-growing city.

“Angela has been on the FWC radar for a long time,” said FWC President and CEO, Steve Montgomery. “She’s been a small business owner here in Fort Worth, an entrepreneur, and the community marketing, communications, and local events manager for some of our largest property development members. When we learned she might be available for this position, the wheels started turning immediately.”

Most recently, Hall served as Marketing Manager at Slalom Consulting, where she functioned as marketing lead for all Fort Worth client activity and community engagement. Prior to that, Hall held positions as Director of Marketing at both Vestar and Trademark Property Company — known locally for their West 7th and Waterside developments, respectively. She also served as Account Manager, Marketing & Communications at healthcare powerhouse, Southwestern Health Resources.

In her new position, Hall’s responsibilities include developing a cohesive branding strategy and driving FWC activity and resource awareness through public relations and marketing initiatives, member communications, and event planning and management. She will work closely with the FWC’s executive leadership team while cultivating relationships with local stakeholders and media representatives.

“I’ve had a long relationship with the Chamber as a member and as community liaison for member organizations,” said Hall. “When Steve shared his vision of the future with me and asked me to come on board to help implement it, it was such an honor. This position allows me to leverage all my skills and experience in support of the community that I love.”

With an eye to that future, Hall insists that her main immediate duty will be listening and learning.

“There’s a temptation to launch into big plans when you take on an important job, but with so many stakeholders and so much history here, I knew I needed to take a step back to get real feedback from our internal team and from our members,” Hall said. “I’m doing a lot more listening than talking. If I want to support our members with educational offerings or networking events — or whatever they need — I need to know about those needs first.”

Hall’s arrival comes near the end of a transformative year at the FWC. Under Montgomery’s leadership, and with the launch of partner organization, the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership, the FWC has rededicated its focus on the fundamentals of leadership, engagement, and advocacy for member businesses. Hall recognizes that such a transformation requires careful communication to maintain and build confidence in the process.

“There’s a calmness and a trust that comes from cohesive messaging,” Hall continued. “We need that trust now to build excitement in the future. I can already see so many opportunities for us to deliver on our promises, and I’m looking forward to sharing those opportunities with our membership. I want it to be exciting to be a member. I want members to look forward eagerly to each event and each newsletter, and of course, I want them to tell all their business associates to come join us here at the Fort Worth Chamber!”

Hall holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MS in Entrepreneurship from Southern Methodist University. As part of her commitment to the community, Hall has been involved with organizations such as the Cultural District Alliance and SteerFW, a nonpartisan organization that identifies and supports emerging leaders and builds their civic engagement. In 2015, Hall was a Fort Worth Business Press 40 Under 40 Honoree.
