Fort Worth, Texas, April 13, 2026 — Ensemble Coworking is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this April, marking a decade of supporting entrepreneurs, remote professionals, and small business owners across Fort Worth. Since opening its doors in 2016, Ensemble has grown into one of the city’s most recognized hubs for independent professionals seeking more than just a place to work. Built on the principles of connection, collaboration, and community, the space has helped foster thousands of relationships, partnerships, and shared business opportunities over the years.
Ensemble is now the longest-running independent traditional coworking space in Fort Worth, a distinction that reflects both its longevity and its commitment to fostering a people-first work environment.
Founder Tamara (Payne) Carlen says the milestone represents far more than the passing of time. “Ten years ago, Ensemble started with a simple idea. Create a place where people could work, connect, and support one another,” Carlen said. “What has happened since then is far bigger than the space itself. It’s the people, the businesses, and the relationships that have been built here.”
Over the past decade, Ensemble has served several thousand individuals, ranging from early-stage startups and nonprofits to professionals at major institutions, including Texas Wesleyan University, Texas Christian University, the City of Fort Worth, and Cook Children’s. The space has hosted nearly 750 events, including workshops, networking events, and board meetings, as well as more personal milestones such as weddings, memorial services, and celebrations of all kinds. A music video has been filmed within its walls, along with an episode of a genealogy show on TLC.
For six years, Ensemble served as the home of One Million Cups Fort Worth, further strengthening its role in supporting the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Ensemble’s impact has also been recognized within the local business community. In 2018, the organization was named the inaugural recipient of the Supporter of Entrepreneurship award at the Entrepreneur of Excellence Awards by Fort Worth Inc., recognizing its leadership in supporting and strengthening Fort Worth’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Beyond events, the space’s long-term impact is evident in the businesses themselves. Companies have been launched at Ensemble, grown within the community, and in many cases expanded beyond it. Others have chosen to stay, continuing to build and collaborate within the space.
“Ensemble Coworking has been transformative for my business. It offers access to a diverse community of professionals, from corporate leaders to entrepreneurs, where collaboration and the exchange of ideas happen organically. It also provides the flexibility to work independently when focus is needed, which makes it a truly unique environment.” — Meghan Jarrell, Moxie Concepts
Like many in the coworking and commercial real estate industries, Ensemble has faced significant challenges over the past decade. The business navigated the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, evolving workplace trends, changes in internal partnerships, and personal challenges within leadership.
Through it all, the mission remained steady.
“There were moments that tested everything,” Carlen said. “But the reason Ensemble is still here is simple. People continued to show up for one another. That sense of community carried us through.”
To mark the milestone, Ensemble is hosting a 10 Years of Coworking & Community Celebration Event, inviting current and former members, partners, and the broader Fort Worth community to come together and reflect on the space’s impact.
Friday, April 24 | 2:00 – 5:00 PM
Ensemble Coworking | 1617 Park Place Ave, Suite 110, Fort Worth, TX 76110
The event will feature a dessert bar, cocktails and refreshments, live music, and interactive elements, including a community memory wall highlighting stories from the past decade. Guests are invited to attend in a casual, come-and-go format.
As Ensemble looks ahead, the focus remains on continuing to support the evolving needs of entrepreneurs and professionals, while staying rooted in the values that have defined the space since day one.
“The way we work will continue to change,” Carlen said. “But the need for connection, collaboration, and community will always remain. That’s what we’re building for the next ten years.”
Ensemble Coworking is located in the vibrant Near Southside of Fort Worth and offers flexible coworking memberships, private offices, meeting spaces, and virtual office services for entrepreneurs and professionals seeking a collaborative work environment.
