Fort Worth Symphony cancels concerts through Nov. 6

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Association has announced Friday the cancellation of more upcoming concerts due to the strike by its musicians.

The canceled concerts now extend through Sunday, November 6.

The concerts cancelled include The Music of David Bowie, scheduled to be performed Saturday, September 24 at Bass Performance Hall, and a community concert, scheduled to be performed Sunday, September 25 at Arborlawn United Methodist Church, and the subscription concert featuring pianist Stephen Hough.

While the Sept. 24 “Music of David Bowie” concert has been cancelled, the musicians from the symphony are presenting a David Bowie tribute Sunday Sept. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Shipping and Receiving Bar at 201 S. Calhoun St. Live music will be performed by area musicians, including members of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Association will notify ticket holders immediately regarding options for handling unused tickets. Patrons are encouraged to hold onto their tickets and wait for notification before calling the ticket office.
