France-based Fonroche Lighting, a global leader in solar-powered lighting solutions, has officially opened the doors to its new state-of-the-art U.S. headquarters, located within the Campus Industrial Park at 2224 SE Loop 820 in Fort Worth. The 20,088-square-foot space was designed and built by Fort Worth-based Empire Holdings, a local developer with more than 40 years of experience creating high-quality industrial and commercial properties.
Fonroche and Empire Holdings celebrated the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 22, which was attended by representatives from the City of Fort Worth, Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership, and executives from Fonroche Lighting and Empire Holdings.
Founded in 2011 in Agen, France, Fonroche Lighting has grown to become the global leader in autonomous solar streetlights, with a presence in more than 50 countries across five continents. In 2019, Fonroche expanded to the U.S. and opened its U.S. headquarters in Boston, along with satellite offices in Boise, Orlando, and Phoenix. In 2023, Fonroche relocated its headquarters from Boston to Fort Worth following a thorough evaluation of potential locations nationwide, and consolidated all operations to the city. Fonroche quickly outgrew that space, and worked with Empire Holdings to design and develop its new headquarters within Empire’s 12.14-acre master-planned Campus Industrial Park development in southeast Fort Worth.
Fonroche’s new headquarters features modern amenities of Class-A office space, sought-after industrial features, and customized elements for Fonroche’s engineering, sales, and production departments, including floor-to-ceiling glass windows, solid core doors, open exposed ceilings, 100% LED lighting, private and communal office space, purpose-built cargo docks, oversized automatic overhead doors, advanced fiber-optic infrastructure, high-efficiency storage and freight handling areas, column-free warehouses with 16’ to 23’ clear height, smartphone-powered access, private security, license plate reading technology, and a sustainable landscape design plan with drought-tolerant trees, native shrubs, grasses, and water-conservation technologies. In addition, the site’s centralized location and proximity to major highways, railways, and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport ensures easy access and logistical efficiency, allowing Fonroche to better serve its growing coast-to-coast customer base.
“Our priority is building spaces that fuel tenant success,” said Bowie Holland, President of Empire Holdings. “Fonroche’s presence at Campus Industrial Park is a testament to what we strive to achieve in all of our developments—pairing cutting-edge technologies with exceptional design to create facilities that inspire innovation and drive growth.”

The grand opening of Fonroche’s new state-of-the-art headquarters coincides with its rapid growth in the American market, where its solar-powered streetlights are installed in more than 1,000 municipalities across 43 states. A disruptor to the traditional streetlighting industry, Fonroche’s innovative solar-powered lighting solutions eliminate the need for grid connections, offering significant cost savings, zero energy consumption, and drastically lower carbon emissions compared to traditional streetlights. Designed for longevity, these systems are virtually maintenance-free, providing reliable, sustainable lighting even in remote locations where grid infrastructure is unavailable or expensive to install.
“Our new U.S. headquarters represents more than just office and warehouse space — it signals our company’s long-term commitment to the U.S. market and vision of reshaping urban infrastructure with renewable energy solutions,” said Hocine Benaoum, Head of Fonroche Lighting USA. “Our presence in Fort Worth also reinforces the city’s appeal to international companies seeking a central location for national operations. We are certain that Fort Worth’s unmatched logistical resources and supportive business climate will be the keys to our continued growth and goal to become the nation’s leader in solar-powered lighting solutions.”
Empire Holdings, which developed and manages the five-building Campus Industrial Park, emphasized the park’s capacity to accommodate a diverse range of industries, with current tenants consisting of companies specializing in aerospace, engineering, and manufacturing. Available spaces include 11,250 square feet in Building B and 53,780 square feet each in Buildings D and E. Empire’s emphasis on user-focused design, move-in readiness, and collaborative tenant relationships distinguishes its approach from standard industrial real estate projects.
