From The Mayor’s Desk: Leadership Outlook

On today, Leadership Fort Worth presented Leadership Outlook 2025, “From The Mayor’s Desk”.

The panel was made up of past mayors of Fort Fort Worth Kenneth Barr, Mike Moncrief and Betsy Price, along with current Mayor Mattie Parker. With 30 years of combined mayoral experience, the panel discussed the partnership of the city and the private sector as being a major part of the growth and success of Fort Worth.

“Serving the city should at the forefront of any project that will make Fort Worth a better place to live and work. It is not about who gets the credit, it’s about getting the job done,” said Moncrief.

Price added that not only was partnership and working together with the private sector and with neighborhoods, but that it was also important for the previous mayors to communicate and work with each other.

“Fort Worth has accomplished great things over the past 30 years that have elevated it to being a city of choice many people and businesses, said Barr. “The key to where we are and where we want to be will in all levels of education and training to prepare and develop a capable workforce.”

“As a city with wonderful citizens, who don’t always agree with decisions of the mayor and city council, but we make the effort to communicate and bring understanding as to why certain decisions were made,” said Parker, “always considering what is best for the city.”

With all of the change that come with growth, the mayors all agree that it’s important that Fort Worth does not lose its identity. The identity of every sector working together to make things happen.
