Gander Outdoors, formerly known as Gander Mountain, is now open in Fort Worth, a news release announced.

“We’ve received such positive feedback from all the communities across the country in which we opened our new Gander Outdoors locations,” Camping World Chairman Marcus Lemonis said in the release. “We are so thankful for the customers shopping with us for their outdoor and sporting needs and we are excited to continue expanding our outdoor industry footprint, while supporting economic growth in all these communities.” Lemonis, star of CNBC’s The Profit, bought Gander Mountain assets in bankruptcy court in May 2017 and is beginning to reopen many of the chain’s stores.

The company has plans for a special grand opening event Saturday, May 12, at 6001 Quebec St. in Fort Worth, the release said. The 45,000 square foot location is one of the retailer’s four planned facilities in the Lone Star state.

The grand opening will kick off at 9 a.m. with free pastries and coffee. The family-friendly event will include the chance for children to paint a lure between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and build a duck call from 1-3 p.m.
