Hope Lancarte of Joe T. Garcia’s dies

Hope Lancarte, who ran her father’s restaurant, Joe T. Garcia’s, for decades, died Thursday morning.. She was 86. From a small dining room with six tables, Joe T. Garcia’s now seats up to 1,400 customers and is well known beyond Fort Worth’s border. Under her leadership, the restaurant received the American’s Classics regional restaurant award from the James Beard Foundation.
