Join us for the Spring 2013 Tamale Eating Contest We are hosting 3 Tamale Contest Categories: April 28th 2013 1) Main Event – Beef Tenderloin Tamale Start Time: 2:00pm 2) Vegetarian – Black Bean & Cheese Tamale Start Time: 1:30pm 3) Vegan – Poblano Corn Tamale Start Time: 1:00pm Entry Fee: $25.00 Registration Status: Now Open – when a contest category becomes full we will close the category immediatly. Registration includes 1 free Official T-shirt and it must be worn during the competition. Contest Time: 5 minutes Limit of Contestants: 10 people per contest per category. Check-in: All contestants are required to check-in no later than 20 minutes before the contest they register for. Grand Prize Winners: A $250 check will be awarded to each 1st place winner in each of the three tamale eating contest category: Vegan, Vegetarian, Carnivore. 2nd Place – $50 gift card 3rd Place – $25 gift card Size of Tamales: Approximatly 4 oz tamales Contestants must be 18 years or older and show their valid drivers license at check-in. All contestants must completely read and sign the Official Rules and Waiver of Liability Form before competing in this eating competition. Safety during this contest is our first consideration. This competitive eating contest will have a trained emergency medical technician on duty. Hot Damn, Tamales! completely condemns, discourages, and disapproves of younger individuals eating for speed or quantity under any circumstances. Do not try speed eating at home. Registration is only for people 18 years or older who are fully aware of the inherent dangers and risks associated with participating in an eating contest. At any time Hot Damn, Tamales! reserves to right to use its sole discretion to deny an applicant’s registration; and, revoke a registered contestant from participating in the tamale eating contest. By filling out the online Registration Form and paying the registration fee does not automatically enroll or include you in the contest. Hot Damn, Tamales! reserves the right to change any details surrounding the contest including, but not limited to, the time of the event, duration of the contest, prizes awarded, registration fee, number of contestant, who competes in the contest, and additional rules. Any changes may be without direct notice.
