In Watermelon Sugar Continuing Hip Pocket Theatre’s 41st season

Continuing their 41st performance season, Hip Pocket Theatre will open a new show on July 7th for a four-week-run. The show is adapted from Richard Brautigan’s In Watermelon Sugar. There will be performances Friday through Sunday starting at 9 p.m. until it closes on July 30th.

A press release from Hip Pocket Theatre says that young children are not recommended to see the show. There will be food available before and after the show at the Backyard concessions area and there will be performances by local musicians before and after each show.

Reservations can be made by calling the box office at (817) 246-9775 or emailing hpt@hippocket.org. There are discounted rates for students, teachers, military, children and seniors. The gates will open at 7 p.m. with the performance to start at 9 p.m. The press release says that there will be no late seating. 

The show is directed and adapted by John Murphy. James Maynard did the production design and Nikki DeShea Smith has done the lighting design.
