The Jubilee Theatre will be having performances of Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters’ First 100 Years this weekend and until June 25. Performances for this weekend start on June 16 at 8 p.m. and continue with two performances on Saturday at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. The last performance of the weekend is on Sunday at 3 p.m.
The play follows two sisters, 103-year-old Sadie and 101-year-old Bessie, while they are making dinner to celebrate their father’s birthday. During this time they look back at the century they’ve lived in. According to the Jubilee Theatre’s website, the play is an adaptation of a book written by Sarah I. Delany and A. Elizabeth Delany with Amy Hill Hearth.
