The annual Girl Scout Cookie Season will end Feb. 28 and Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains is encouraging the community to support our troops with donations of cookies.
GS-TOP partners with local nonprofit agencies and military bases to send donated cookies to soldiers overseas and stateside through its Project Troop to Troop service initiative.
“Customers sponsor packages of Girl Scout Cookies that the council sends to our men and women in uniform,” said GS-TOP CEO Becky Burton. “Through Project Troop to Troop, our customers get to support our service men and women and support their local Girl Scout Troop with each purchase.”
To participate, got to a local Cookie Booth and say, “I want my Girl Scout Cookies to go to Project Troop to Troop.” Cookie booths can be found by going to www.girlscoutcookies.org. Counties in the GS-TOP service area include: Hill, Hood, Johnson, Parker, Somervell and Tarrant.
