Learning Center of North Texas Names New Executive Director

Lloyd Day, M.Ed., has been named new executive director of The Learning Center of North Texas (TLCNT) in Fort Worth. He succeeds retiring Executive Director Dr. Leslie James who has led TLCNT since July of 2010. Day served as TLCNT’s director of administration during the past year.

TLCNT is a 17-year-old non-profit organization in downtown Fort Worth giving comprehensive diagnostic educational evaluations, resources and assistance to individuals whose learning differences or disabilities interfere with school, work or life in general.

Day holds a master’s degree in educational administration from Texas Woman’s University and a bachelor of science degree from Oregon State University, TLCNT said in a news release.

He was a teacher and principal for 33 years in Arlington ISD, and began his administrative career as principal at Speer Elementary. After three years as the principal of Pine Tree Elementary in Longview, Texas, he returned to Arlington and served as principal at both Berry Elementary and Lynn Hale Academy.
