Lewisville store manager named Domino’s Pizza U.S. Manager of the Year

  A. Lee Graham Reporter   Domino’s Pizza has crowned Corey McKanna as U.S. Manager of the Year, with the Lewisville store manager awarded at a recent ceremony.   McKanna began as a customer service representative when he was 16 years old at the Lewisville location and worked his way towards becoming a manager.   “I worked hard and excelled as a customer service representative at Domino’s,” McKanna said in a news release.   “I remained dedicated and gave it my all with a manager role in mind. I knew this type of position would provide me with the foundation to achieve some of my life goals, such as providing some type of service or charity to my community while still doing something I enjoy – and it has,” McKanna said.   The U.S. Manager of the Year award recognizes exceptional store managers who live what the company considers its mission and guiding principles. McKanna was selected from nearly 5,000 store managers nationwide. McKanna works for Domino’s Pizza franchise owner Robert Gavitt.   “My goal is to become a franchise owner in the next two years,” said McKanna, aiming to raise $1 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.   “Whether it is through stores I own, stores I manage or personal donations, I am dedicated to making this happen,” McKanna said.   Domino’s Pizza operates more than 10,400 stores in over 70 international markets. The company had global retail sales exceeding $7.4 billion in 2012, comprised of more than $3.5 billion in the U.S. and nearly $3.9 billion internationally.
