Dallas-based apparel company Demerara will open its first Fort Worth location at 404 Houston Street in Sundance Square with more than 1,660 square feet of space featuring women’s and men’s fashion apparel and accessories.
This is the second location for Demerara which also has a storefront on McKinney Avenue in Dallas. The clothing line is manufactured in North Texas.
“This will be the go-to destination for the consumer who enjoys current trends as the owner, Cassie Ganesh, designs and manufacturers to local styles,” said Johnny Campbell, president and CEO of Sundance Square. “We have a great mix of locally owned stores and national brands in Sundance Square which really creates a diverse shopping experience for our visitors.”
“Being a Carswell Air Force Base brat, I am beyond excited to expand our second location into Fort Worth,” said Ganesh. “Since starting the company in 2011, we’ve transformed from traditional boutique retailer into a vertically-integrated apparel company, proudly designing and manufacturing right here in the heart of Texas. Managing daily operations at my factory has enabled me to turn production in one week, and I look forward to showing Fort Worth a steady stream of contemporary fashion.”
Demerara will open this summer with men’s fashion items that will include outerwear, shirts, and bottoms. The women’s line includes dresses, rompers, jumpsuits, athletic wear, tops, bottoms, outerwear and swimsuits.
In 2016, Demerera launched a men’s collection in collaboration with Dallas Mavericks point guard J.J. Barea. The Demerara X J.J. Barea collection features casual menswear.
