Euless-based Dalworth Companies has been selected by the Baylor University Institute for Family Business as its 2016 Texas Family Business of the Year.
James Smith began Dalworth Clean in October 1976. The family-owned business has expanded into four divisions, all located in Euless: Dalworth Clean, the largest carpet cleaning company in Dallas-Fort Worth; Dalworth Restoration; Professional Carpet Cleaners Supply; and Central Station Marketing, an internet marketing agency for home improvement contractors.
Three family members own and manage the four enterprises: James Smith is CEO of Dalworth Clean; his brother Rob Smith is CEO of Professional Carpet Cleaners Supply; and brother-in-law Shane Hobbs is CEO of Dalworth Restoration and Central Station Marketing.
“We were thoroughly impressed at the vision that the three generations of the family have had and how they have grown during up and down cycles within their industries,” said program director Linda Ramirez.
Family members will receive the Texas Family Business of the Year Award on Nov. 4 in Waco.
On Nov. 5, Dalworth Restoration will host a Wag-N-Wash event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its home location of 12750 S. Pipeline Road in Euless. Anyone bringing a rug to drop off for cleaning may also bring their pet dogs for a free wash and grooming from a mobile pet washing service. Free hot dogs for all participants will make it a dog-and-dog event.
