New Amazon Operations Facility Announced in Cleburne

CLEBURNE, TEXAS – Amazon has announced it will be constructing a new
operations facility in Cleburne. The new facility will be approximately 1.7 million
square feet and will be located off of the Chisholm Trail Parkway at Industrial Drive.
It is expected to create hundreds of jobs once fully operational.
Launch plans are in the early stages, with construction beginning this week. Mayor
Scott Cain expressed his excitement over Amazon’s decision to build a new facility in
Cleburne, emphasizing the positive impact it will have on the City’s growth and future
opportunities.
“On behalf of the Cleburne City Council, I am thrilled to welcome Amazon to our
community,” said Mayor Cain. “Amazon’s strategic investment to establish a state-ofthe-art facility here is a testament to Cleburne’s thriving economy, strategic location
and growing potential. This investment will not only create new opportunities for our
residents but also further solidify Cleburne as a key player in the region’s economic
landscape.”
“This facility will allow us to better serve our customers,” said Jessica Breaux, senior
manager of economic development for Amazon. “We’re grateful for our partnership
with the City of Cleburne and look forward to sharing more details about this facility
in the future.”
Since 2010, Amazon has invested $70 billion in Texas – including infrastructure and
compensation to employees. The company employs 89,000 people in Texas and
operates more than 80 operations facilities across the state. The average base wage for
hourly employees in the United States is more than $22 per hour and average total
compensation to more than $29 per hour when you include the value of elected benefits
(things like health care from the first day on the job).
