New fast-casual Mexican concept coming to North Texas

Salsarita's

Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina, a Mexican fast-casual restaurant chain with 75 locations in 18 states will start cooking up some North Texas locations starting this summer.

The first location, in Lewisville, will be near the recently opened Nebraska Furniture Mart. The company behind the deal is Barton & Agha, a group consisting of Mohammad Agha, Chris Barton and Cayce Barton, who have been involved in operating multi-unit fast-food restaurant franchise for several years. The current plan is to roll out six locations of the fast-casual concept over a four-year period, with the target areas, besides Lewisville, being Plano, Frisco and Allen.

These new locations for Salsarita’s come in a year when the company is experiencing growth throughout the country. Backed by restaurant industry veteran Phil Friedman, CEO of Salsarita’s, multiple deals have been put in place to bring restaurants to areas including Alpharetta, Georgia; High Point, North Carolina; Columbia, South Carolina, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Oxford, Mississippi all within the year. There are currently two locations in Texas, one in Longview and one in Tyler.
