Lee Graham Reporter North East Mall and The Shops at North East Mall in Hurst have added new stores and renovated some existing outlets. “We are thrilled to offer a number of new retailers and remodeled stores to the community and our shoppers,” said Holly Conner, director of marketing and business development, commenting in a news release. “We feel that each of these concepts will further enhance our visitors’ experience by offering more choices at North East Mall and The Shops at North East Mall,” Conner said. Vans is relocating, remodeling and expanding into a newer, larger space in the mall. The store will occupy 3,815 square feet located in the JC Penney wing across from the food court. Vans will retain its current space next to Hollister in the JC Penney wing during construction. Charlotte Russe fashion retailer recently unveiled its new store design after completing renovation of its 7,000 square-foot space located across from Dick’s Sporting Goods. Just Stringz, which provides eyebrow threading services for men and women, will undergo a complete remodel and expansion this summer. When complete, the store will occupy 1,399 square feet. The store, located near the Children’s Play Area behind Crazy 8, will remain open during construction. Previously announced,Fuji Teriyakiand B&B News and More have opened at North East Mall.Bioderm Skincare & Laser Center,a medical day spa, will open for business later this summer. Meanwhile, The Shops at North East Mall has added Five Below to its retail mix. It sells merchandise to the teen and pre-teen market, all from $1 to $5. Old Navy at The Shops at North East Mall is undergoing a makeover. The store, located near Petsmart, will remain open during construction. The renovation will include updates to the exterior and interior of the store. Look for the new store design to be unveiled later this summer. North East Mall and The Shops at North East Mall are owned by Simon Property Group, which owns or has an interest in 326 retail real estate properties in North America and Asia.
