Aviation American Airlines promoted Don Casey to senior vice president-revenue management. Formerly vice president-revenue management, he will continue to oversee the pricing of fare and merchandising products, inventory management, upgrades, frequent flyer redemption and the revenue management activities for joint business agreements. Casey joined American in 2000 as managing director of capacity planning and led the company’s Alliances team during the first major expansion of oneworld. His work has been recognized with a Laurels Award from Aviation Week & Space Technology for outstanding contributions to the field of commercial transportation. Prior to joining American, he was senior vice president of planning at Canadian Airlines.

Construction & Engineering Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers, Fort Worth, promoted Carlo Andreani and Michael L. Lewis to associate principal. Andreani, a LEED accredited professional, joined Pacheco Koch, Dallas in 2007 and is responsible for overseeing the development of the private sector division in the Fort Worth office. He is a member of the Greater Fort Worth Real Estate Council, the Urban Land Institute and the YPA for the Lena Pope Home. Lewis joined Pacheco Koch, Dallas in 2004. In June 2010, he was selected to oversee the development of the Fort Worth land survey group. He is responsible for performing and coordinating the work activities for multiple large and complex land surveying projects as well as directing the work activities of assigned project surveyors and survey technicians. Lewis is a member of the International Right-of-Way Association and the Texas Society of Professional Land Surveyors.

Energy Norwell, Mass.-based Bluestone Energy Services LLC opened a new office in Arlington, which is managed by Tim Hirschenhofer, Bluestone’s director of data center energy engineering.

Food Distribution Keith Pittman, senior vice president of operations and branch management at Ben E. Keith Co., will retire in August after 44 years of service. Pittman joined Ben E. Keith in 1970 after graduating from TCU. During his tenure he has had positions in sales, purchasing and operations, and was general manager at two distribution centers. Additionally, the company promoted Mike Sweet, Dallas-Fort Worth district sales manager, to vice president of the food division, and Brian Lynch to director of sales development and training.

Health Care Dr. Laurie Crowe, an internist, has joined USMD Holdings Inc.’s Fort Worth Ben Hogan Center Clinic. Crowe completed her medical training at University of Mississippi Medical School and her residency in internal medicine at University of Mississippi Medical Center. She has nearly 30 years of experience caring for patients in outpatient, inpatient and critical-care settings.

Honors & Awards The National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum honored two legendary cowboys and two cowgirls during its annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Banquet on July 25 in Fort Worth. This year’s honorees include: actors Barry Corbin and Anne Lockhart and rodeo and Western heritage trailblazers Vincent Jacobs and Nathan Jean Whitaker Sanders aka Mama Sugar.

Real Estate Seth Fowler has joined HGC Residential Development as the director of sales. Fowler has more than 10 years of experience in sales and marketing in the home building industry, and was most recently the director of sales and marketing for HD Homes and Village Homes in Fort Worth. Liberty Kriesman is the new director of sales and leasing at Champions DFW Commercial Realty LLC. Prior to joining Champions DFW, Kriesman was a Realtor for Keller Williams in Southlake, a real estate adviser for Sperry Van Ness in Arlington and the director of a brokerage for One Prime Commercial Real Estate.

Transportation Logistics BNSF Logistics LLC promoted Dan Curtis, chief financial officer, to chief operating officer of US Domestic Operations and Technology; Robert Sutton, formerly vice president of domestic operations, to senior vice president of US Domestic and International Project/Rail Services; and Pete Dutton, formerly director of integration, to vice president of Technology Services. Curtis served as the CFO of BNSFL for three years before assuming the senior operations role. He previously had senior financial leadership positions with Greatwide Logistics Services and key positions at Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst and Ernst & Young. Sutton, a 20-year industry veteran, joined BNSF Logistics in 2003 and has served in several senior operations management roles. He previously worked with J.B. Hunt Logistics and Transplace. Dutton, a 30-year industry veteran, joined BNSF Logistics in 2011 as the director of integration. He previously served in senior engineering and IT positions at Greatwide Logistics Services and UPS Supply Chain Solutions.

Texas Health’s Diann Smith receives national leadership award The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) has selected Diann Smith, vice president of health information management services at Texas Health Resources, to receive its Triumph Award for Leadership. The awards are AHIMA’s highest recognition of excellence, dedication and service. Smith is one of three Leadership Award honorees for 2014. “We are thrilled, but not surprised, to see Diann receive this significant national recognition,” said Elaine Anderson, THR senior vice president and chief compliance officer. “Diann and her skilled team of information management professionals are absolutely critical in helping our system serve North Texans’ health care needs.” Smith directs the centralizing and standardizing of HIM practices across the 25-hospital system, one of the nation’s largest faith-based, nonprofit health care systems. She manages functions such as coding, release of information, data integrity, analysis of documentation, medical record delinquency, records management and transcription services. A native of Golinda, Texas, near Waco, Smith received her bachelor’s degree in health information management from Texas Woman’s University and master’s degree in human relations and business from Amberton University. She is a registered health information administrator and is certified in healthcare privacy as well as a Fellow of the American Health Information Management Association. A Texas Health employee for 14 years, she served as director of HIM at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth before assuming her present position. Smith will receive the Triumph Award for Leadership at AHIMA’s Annual Convention in San Diego on Sept. 29. “I’m honored to be recognized by my peers for doing something I love,” said Smith.
