Newsmakers: GCG adds to staff

GCG Marketing has named Sirine Saad as account executive, Hannah Byrom as account coordinator, Andrea Ortega as associate art director and Jason Brown as copy editor.

Saad returns to GCG after serving an internship in 2014 while she attended the University of Texas at Arlington. Byrom joined GCG as an intern in March 2016. Ortega was an intern at GCG before joining the company full time. Brown has been an editor for a variety of publications around the country, including the San Diego Union-Tribune, The Bremerton (Washington) Sun and The Des Moines Register and had a 10-year career at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Brown has received various Texas Associated Press Managing Editors awards for headline writing and page design.

Jayson R. Green has been named senior vice president of consumer lending at First Financial Bank in Fort Worth.

“We are delighted to welcome Jayson to the bank’s senior lending team,” said Martin Noto, president and CEO of First Financial Bank, Fort Worth Region. “Jayson has the experience and expertise to provide great customer service and to lead our consumer lending in Fort Worth.”

Green has more than 23 years of consumer and mortgage lending experience, including in numerous leadership roles. He holds two bachelor’s degrees from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. Green has volunteered with the North Texas Food Bank and with Lovepacs Frisco from 2015 to 2017. He also served on the Land Committee and in Men’s Ministry for Connections United Methodist Church in Frisco.

The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo board of directors and membership met April 25 and elected directors and officers of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

New directors include: Wilson Franklin, Trey Gordon, Mary Ralph Lowe, Kent Lynch, Paxton Motheral, Mark G. Nurdin, Robert L. Patton, William D. Ratliff IV, Rozanne Rosenthal and Todd M. Tippet.

Honorary vice presidents were: William A. Landreth Jr., Ronnie McNutt, Billy Minick and Joseph A. Monteleone. Officers re-elected include: Bradford S. Barnes, president and general manager; Edward P. Bass, chairman of the board; Charlie Geren, vice president; Charlie Moncrief, secretary; Randy Rogers, treasurer; and W.R. Watt Jr., president emeritus.

Bruce Benes from Fort Worth, Christopher L. James from Keller and Glen J. Katlein from Coppell were all recognized as Top 10 partners at the B2B CFO Partners Meeting in Phoenix. The conference also commemorated the firm’s 30th anniversary.

The Fort Worth Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI), the association for CFOs and other senior-level finance executives, has received the Most Outstanding Chapter Award and the Chapter Membership Net Growth Award at this year’s FEI Summit in Anaheim, California.

Farmers Insurance agent Brett Vance of Keller has been named to the national insurer’s Presidents Council, the Los Angeles-based insurance company recently announced. Membership in the Presidents Council is the company’s most elite honor for the top one-percent of agents and district managers.

CSG Companies has a new brand and new company name as of April 24. The new name is Forté Benefits and it “represents what our current clients have come to know about us,” said Logan Dickinson, Forté managing partner. “[It means] that we are strong and confident in the work we do and that we are built on a foundation of focused expertise, accompanied by service nothing less than exceptional.”

Tawney Smith has joined The Stiles Mund Group as an associate in the RE/MAX Trinity Commercial Division. She previously managed large multifamily properties and owner associations. She spent over a decade managing multi-family properties and owner associations in Downtown Fort Worth. A native of Lubbock, Smith earned a bachelor’s degree at Texas Tech University.

Torrick Kinghas joined The Austin Co. as its new real estate sales associate specializing in retail investment properties. Nathan Peoples has been hired in the company’s marketing department and will host the Jim Austin Online weekly radio community affairs program The People’s Hour spotlighting community leaders in business, philanthropy and the arts.
