Hartman Wanzor firm adds partner

Josh McNamara is joining Hartman Wanzor LLP as a partner in the accounting firm. McNamara is a certified public accountant in Texas with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Texas Christian University and a master’s degree in accountancy from The University of Michigan. He previously was associate controlling manager of The Walton Group LLC.

“We are very excited to have Josh join forces with us. His approach to client service and his existing client base fits well with our current team at HW LLP,” said Nick Wanzor, co-founder and managing partner of HW.

McNamara’s areas of focus include tax preparation and planning, valuation of closely held businesses, accounting services, and business development.

McNamara also holds his certified valuation analyst credential from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

“Josh brings a wealth of knowledge and a diverse background of tax and accounting experience. He will be a great asset to the firm and bring tremendous value to our ability to deliver timely and efficient tax strategies to our clients” said Frank Hartman, co-founder and partner of HW.

McNamara’s biggest passion is working with his clients to create the most beneficial outcomes from a tax planning perspective. He serves both business and individual clients across a range of industries throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

He serves on the board of directors of the United Way of Tarrant County and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Texas Society of CPAs.

Hartman Wanzor was founded by Frank Hartman Sr. in 1957.

Tony Zavala, senior vice president and senior employee benefits adviser at Frost Insurance in Fort Worth, was recognized by the Leading Producers Round Table of the National Association of Health Underwriters. Zavala received the Soaring Eagle Award, the highest honor given by the association.

Lindsay Daniel has been appointed vice president and trust officer for Bank of Texas’ The Private Bank. Daniel will be based at the Burnett Plaza location in downtown Fort Worth and will focus on personal trust administration for high net worth clients in the Fort Worth area. Daniel was most recently a practicing attorney with the Fort Worth firm of Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee PLLC.

Texas Trust Credit Union took home three Pinnacle awards in the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s annual marketing awards competition. Pinnacle awards are given to credit unions that demonstrate excellence in credit union marketing, public relations and business development. Marcus & Millichap has announced that Al Silva –of the firm’s Fort Worth office has been named a senior managing director for investments, according to Kyle Palmer, regional manager. Previously, Silva was a senior vice president for investments.

Balfour Beatty US has named Ed Prendergast Jr. vice president of business acquisition for its Texas vertical construction operations. He will oversee client relationship management and opportunity development throughout Texas.

Prendergast has 37 years of construction industry expertise in business development, preconstruction and operations. He rejoins Balfour Beatty after helping lead the company’s preconstruction services from 2000 to 2009. During that time, he helped complete some of the firm’s most iconic Texas commercial projects, including Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Harris Methodist Hospital, One Arts Plaza and the Gaylord Texan.

Grapevine-based RailPros has appointed Richard (Rick) Bellew to assistant vice president of safety and training. Bellew will direct the development and implementation of system-wide safety, health and environmental initiatives in accord with RailPros Field Services safety commitment, customer requirements, and governmental regulations.

Bellew is a railroad professional with over 18 years in freight and transit railroad, structures, equipment, safety, training and compliance.
