Falcon Steel America, a Haltom City company that designs, engineers and builds American-made steel structures, has hired 25-year industry veteran Alan Morris as senior vice president-sales. Morris will lead the sales team charged with selling the company’s one-stop capabilities for the electrical utility, telecommunications and highway/transportation industries.

Morris was vice president of sales-central region for Anixter Inc., which sells electric utility products and services. He is a board member and treasurer of Utility Supply Management Alliance.

American Aero FTW, a fixed-base operator (FB0) at Meacham International Airport, received international recognition in 2015 when it became the first FBO in the Western Hemisphere to earn Stage I IS-Business Aircraft Handlers (BAH) accreditation from the International Business Aviation Council. Launched in July 2014, IS-BAH is a joint program between IBAC and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA). It incorporates the NATA Safety 1st ground audit program and follows the long-established structure of the IS-Business Aircraft Operations program.

The Rotary Club of Fort Worth has announced the organization’s new board of directors for the coming year. EDUCATION
Alison Hodges, Tarrant County College Southeast culinary instructor, recently won Pastry Chef of the Year at the Texas Chefs Association meeting in Dallas. Hodges will receive her plaque at the association’s August convention in Corpus Christi.
Hodges joined TCC’s Culinary Arts program as a member of the adjunct faculty in 2006, teaching both the fundamentals of baking and the advanced pastry classes. In the spring 2014, she became a full-time faculty member at TCC Southeast and began teaching the dual credit purchasing and dining room classes.

Joseph P. Hoffmann has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer at Chicago-based IFG Companies, one of the largest privately held insurance groups in the United States. Hoffmann began his career at Arthur Andersen LLP in Dallas and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington. He earned a law degree from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago.

Matt Hunsicker has been appointed as manager of the Grand Prairie IKEA store that is expected to open in the fall. Hunsicker
joined IKEA in 2001 after 14 years in the food and beverage industry.
