Boards & Organizations Amphibian Stage Productions elected Jeff Davis as chairman and Linda Pavlik as a new member. Davis, chairman for the Fort Worth division of Republic Title, has served on Amphibian’s board for four years. He succeeds Gregory Scott Ibañez, principal of Ibañez Architecture, who will continue to serve as a board member. Pavlik is founder and president of marketing and communications firm Pavlik and Associates. Three Fort Worth physicians have been named to leadership positions with the Texas Medical Association (TMA). Dr. Joseph H. Burkett, a psychiatrist for 28 years, was elected to TMA’s Council on Science and Public Health. Dr. Cheryl L. Hurd, a psychiatrist for 12 years, was reappointed to TMA’s Committee on Physician Health and Wellness. Dr. Brian G. Webb, an orthopedic surgeon for seven years, was reelected to TMA’s Council on Medical Education. All three physicians are members of the Tarrant County Medical Society.
Education Fort Worth Country Day named Brad Philipson, Ph.D., its first assistant head of school for academics and Kathy Lott as director of admission. Philipson will oversee the academic program in grades K-12, implementing programs in teacher evaluation, program mapping, curriculum development, and teacher professional growth and development. Philipson comes to FWCD from The Casady School in Oklahoma City, where he served as the upper division director. He also served as an English teacher, dean of students and upper school assistant principal at Metairie Park Country Day School in Louisiana. Lott replaces Barbara Jiongo, who retired after 23 years of service to FWCD. Lott joined FWCD in 2001 and previously served as associate director of admission. She handles the admission for grades 5-12 and coordinates and manages the Admission Student Ambassador for those grades. She develops the policies and procedures for all Named Scholars Programs and developed and manages the Continuing Professional Education program. Lott began her career at Our Lady of Victory School in Fort Worth, teaching science, computers, reading and religion. She later served as the school’s principal for five years.
Energy Dan Lott has joined energy services company Purple Land Management as vice president of human resources. With more than 30 years of human resources experience, including knowledge of the energy sector’s needs, Lott brings specialized training in oil and gas to his new role. Prior to joining PLM, Lott served as director of human resources for Western Production Co. and Axia Land Services LLC. Prior to that, he served as director of human resources for Encore Acquisition Co. and Hunt Refining Co., and had human resources positions at Burlington Resources and Crosstex Energy.
Honors & Awards Fort Worth Allstate agency owner Robert Stine received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for his commitment to helping others. With this award came a $1,000 grant from The Allstate Foundation for the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth, where Stine volunteers. The North Tarrant Express (NTE) project team received the 2014 GLOBE Award and 2014 PRIDE Award from the American Road and Transportation Builders Associations’ Transportation Development Foundation. Partners on NTE’s $2.5 billion highway reconstruction project in Northeast Tarrant County include developers Cintra U.S. and NTE Mobility Partners and contractor Bluebonnet Contractors, a joint venture of Ferrovial Agroman U.S. Corp. and Webber Construction. The Fort Worth law firm of Moses, Palmer & Howell LLP received the 2013 Texas Excellence Award for Excellence in Law by the US Trade and Commerce Institute. According to USTCI, the firm has consistently demonstrated a high regard for upholding business ethics and company values, is an emerging leader within the field of law and is setting benchmarks that the industry should follow. Law Enforcement The Fort Worth Police Department appointed Capt. Martin Salinas and Capt. Kenneth Dean to deputy chiefs after two previous deputy chiefs retired. Salinas has 32 years of law enforcement experience and 28 years with the FWPD. His previous command experience includes patrol, youth, training, traffic and internal affairs. He has received 26 departmental commendations and was instrumental in developing the first FWPD Spanish citizen’s police academy. Dean has been commissioned with the FWPD for 22 years. His command experience includes patrol, criminal investigations, major crimes, internal affairs and special operations. Dean has served in the U.S. Army for more than 18 years and is assigned as a special agent in the U.S. Army Criminal Investigative Division in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Nonprofit Organizations Camp Fire First Texas hired Brianna Broussard as the special events manager. Broussard’s responsibilities consist of overseeing, planning and executing Camp Fire’s special fundraising events including: An Artists’ Christmas, Absolutely Incredible Kid Luncheon and the Camp El Tesoro de la Vida dinner. Her background includes seven years of program management and event planning experience from Coyote Theater, where she was director of special events and business development, and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, where she was the program director of Vision Fort Worth.
Technology Enterhost added hosting sales veteran Jason Tayar to the new position of director of sales. Prior to joining Enterhost, Tayar was director of sales for Codero Hosting in Austin. Previously, he was senior manager of sales development, lead generation and sales operations for Hosting.com, and he had numerous roles for Rackspace Managed hosting both stateside and in the United Kingdom. Tayar is a resident of Austin, where Enterhost has close ties to the business community through its customer base and vendor partnership with Dell Inc. Maggie Fischer joined CCRA Travel Solutions as the new vice president of marketing. Fischer brings 11 years of award-winning marketing and creative communications experience in the travel and technology industries. She most recently served as the director of marketing communications and brand for Airlines Reporting Corp. since 2006. Prior to joining ARC, she co-founded DCM Inc. and served as its principal marketing and creative leader, developing and managing campaigns for businesses within the travel, technology, nonprofit and health care industries. Consuro Managed Technology hired Kelli Petty and Eric Bishop as new account managers. Petty will be based out of Consuro’s Dallas office, and Bishop will be based out of the company’s Fort Worth headquarters and data center. Petty will be account manager for the professional services projects. Prior to joining Consuro, she was senior account manager for a regional managed service provider. Previously, she had sales and account manager roles in her decade-long tenure at Dell Inc. Bishop will be account manager for Consuro’s managed services customers. He was formerly regional account manager for Trend Micro. He also has owned his own IT security consulting company and has served in numerous customer service and technical roles.

Fort Worth water chief to retire Fort Worth Water Director Frank Crumb will retire Sept. 12 after more than 30 years serving the city. Crumb, a registered professional engineer and a board certified environmental engineer, joined the water department in 1983, after working for the city of Amarillo Utilities Division and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in New Orleans. He worked his way up the ranks from chief water facilities engineer, water production superintendent, capital projects engineer, engineering coordinator and assistant director. In July 2004, Crumb was named acting water director and then director in October 2005. During his tenure, Crumb has been responsible for overseeing capital projects planning for water and wastewater expansions. His involvement led to the development and implementation of water and wastewater impact fees in Fort Worth in 1989. He also was instrumental in implementing cost-of-service-based retail rates in the 1990s and establishing a Citizens Advisory Committee for annual updates. Crumb is past president of the Texas Section WateReuse Association and currently is president of the North Texas Chapter of the Underground Construction Technology Association. The city will soon conduct a national search for a new water director.
