Newsmakers: Reputation management certificate

ADVERTISING & PUBLIC RELATIONS

Gigi Westerman and Sandra Brodnicki, partners at The S&G Group in Arlington, are among the first communications professionals in the nation to earn a new reputation management certificate from the Public Relations Society of America. The society offered the reputation management program to executive-level communicators who are responsible for aligning corporate reputation to brand strategy and business outcomes.

Jessica Murdock- has been promoted to account coordinator at Balcom Agency. Murdock will guide advertising projects for clients such as Kubota Tractor Corp.

ARCHITECTURE

Jordan Pennington and David Anderson have been promoted to associates at Sterling Barnett Little.

AVIATION

Keely Johnson has returned to APA Services, an aviation recruiting and employer services firm, as corporate recruiting manager. She is managing a team of recruiters who place qualified technical and professional personnel in the aerospace, aircraft and aeronautics industries nationally and worldwide.

BANKING & FINANCE

Stewart Alcorn has been promoted to executive vice president, corporate banking, in Frost Bank’s downtown Fort Worth office. Clint Cockerell –has been promoted to senior vice president, corporate banking, in the same location.

EDUCATION

Cole Sweetser has been named head men’s soccer coach at Texas Wesleyan University. Sweetser previously was assistant coach for two seasons.

HEALTH CARE

North Texas Area Community Health Centers has appointed Gerrie Whitaker as CEO. Whitaker worked previously at The Health and Hospital Corp. of Marion County, Indianapolis, where during her tenure she was both director of community planning and chief operating officer as well as director of adolescent health. Prior to that, she was executive director for the Urban Mission Branch YMCA in Indianapolis; chief operating officer of the Dorchester Counseling Center in Boston; vice president of operations for Columbia Point Health Center, Boston; and assistant director of the Charles Drew Family Life Center, Boston. She received her master’s degree in education from Cambridge College, Cambridge.
