North Texas Giving Day is an online giving event that provides nonprofits the opportunity to tell their story and find new donors for their nonprofits.
In six years, North Texas Giving Day has contributed more than $86 million into the North Texas community.
According to the Communities Foundation of Texas which puts on the event, last year 27 percent of donations were first-time givers to the nonprofit where they donated their funds.
We asked Communities Foundation of Texas a few questions about the event:

How much money was raised last year thanks to North Texas Giving Day? $26.3 million
How much money is the event expected to raise this year? Or, is there a target goal? We hope to beat last year’s number of donations and dollars raised.
Approximately how many people donated to North Texas Giving Day last year? 98,000 donations from 59,000 donors. They gave on average 1.6 gifts per donor. (Most gifts by one individual was 91 gifts! He was matching several of his employees that gave.) 27% of donors gave more than one gift.
Approximately how many are expected to donate this year? We hope to increase the number of donations over 100,000!

From 6 AM Central – Midnight
Donations of $25 or more can be made to more than 2,100 certified nonprofits listed on www.NorthTexasGivingDay.org. Those donations will be amplified by more than $2 million dollars in bonus funds and prizes.
