When you think about a person who has dedicated a dozen years-plus of his life to public service, that is to be commended. Frank, I salute you.

– Gyna Bivens, commending District 5 Councilman Frank Moss after being sworn in as his successor at the July 9 City Council meeting.

I don’t intend to get involved in the politics or the specifics of policy, but I do hope there is a positive resolution to the debate.

– Former President George W. Bush, in a soft endorsement of immigration reform efforts on Capitol Hill, speaking at a ceremony for newly sworn-in citizens at a naturalization ceremony at his library and museum in Dallas on July 10.
