AdWe have two great companies right in the middle of our city who are doing wonderful things for our city, why wouldn’t we want to have that partnership? This is a good deal for us.

– Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck, after AT&T announced it would purchase the naming rights to Cowboys Stadium. The city of Arlington will receive 5 percent of the revenue from the naming rights annually.

This decision has nothing to do with protecting voting rights and everything to do with advancing a partisan political agenda.

– Sen John Cornyn, R-Texas, after the Obama administration singled out Texas for legal action and promising broader efforts follow last month’s Supreme Court ruling that wiped out a major provision of the Voting Rights Act.
