Architecture Jim Manskey has been named president of landscape architecture and planning firm TBG Partners. Founder Earl Broussard will maintain day-to-day involvement and continue to serve as chairman of the board. Manskey joined TBG in 1997 and opened the firm’s Dallas office, overseeing its growth for many years as well as the opening of a Fort Worth office in 2010. He maintains involvement with the Urban Land Institute, American Society of Landscape Architects and Southlake Executive Forum. He also serves on Texas A&M University’s Landscape Architecture Professional Advisory Board, through which he mentors students and advises on professional career opportunities. Local designers Steven Halliday and Jason Eggenburger have joined forces to create the architecture studio and design lab 97w. The duo take on a range of projects including restaurant, retail, office, mixed-use and residential. The name 97w is derived from the longitude of Fort Worth, where the firm is based.
Banking & Finance Meridian Bank Texas promoted Cliff Keiser to president. Keiser joined MBTX in 2006 as executive vice president of energy lending. In addition to his executive management duties, Keiser is responsible for building and monitoring a balanced portfolio of energy-related relationships. Manufacturing Architectural Engineered Products of Fort Worth has been appointed the new Texas representative for Spec-Rite Designs, a global distributor, manufacturer and designer of phenolic lockers, cabinets and furnishings based in St. Louis. AEP President Joe Polak founded the company in 2010. AEP provides building materials such as roofing and wall panels to architects in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and surrounding states.
Real Estate Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services promoted Nick Talley and Joe Santaularia to vice president. Talley and Santaularia previously served as market directors for the Fort Worth and D/FW Airport markets, respectively. Talley joined the company in 2006 and Santaularia in 2008. Talley specializes in client representation, brokerage and consulting for property owners and users of industrial, flex and office space in Tarrant County. He also assists with leasing and marketing Bradford’s Fort Worth portfolio. He is active in the North Texas Commercial Association of Real Estate (NTCAR), Greater Fort Worth Real Estate Council and Greater Fort Worth Society of Commercial Realtors. Santaularia, who specializes in industrial brokerage, is active in representing logistics clients in the D/FW Airport submarkets. He also represents select assets for Bradford clients in that submarket. He is a member of the executive board of NTCAR’s Young Professionals Forum. In 2013, he was named Bradford’s No. 1 producer. Henry S. Miller Brokerage promoted Craig Webb – photo – to senior vice president of the Dallas-Fort Worth Corporate Services Division. Webb has been with Henry S. Transportation After a nationwide search, Paul J. Ballard, CEO of the Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) and the Regional Transportation Authority of Middle Tennessee, has been named the president and CEO of The Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T), effective April 14. He was appointed MTA’s CEO in 2002 and has served as chief executive or general manager of multiple transit systems. He has also been president of two national transit management firms and operated or consulted on transit operations in 38 U.S. cities in 19 states. Ballard will fill the top position at The T, which has been filled on an interim basis by Anthony Johnson, chief operating officer.

Berdan receives top statewide award Barclay E. Berdan, chief operating officer and senior executive vice president of Texas Health Resources, has been honored by the Texas Hospital Association with the 2013 Earl M. Collier Award for Distinguished Health Care Administration. Berdan received the award Feb. 13 at the THA 2013 Annual Conference and Expo in San Antonio. As COO, Berdan oversees all operations of the system, which includes more than 21,000 employees and $3.7 billion in operating revenue. He was selected in recognition of his professional achievements and far-sighted focus on health care. “I value Barclay as a friend first and as someone I can rely on as we face a lot of uncertainty in the health care arena,” said Texas Health Resources CEO Douglas D. Hawthorne, who has known Berdan for more than 25 years. “I value the fact that Barclay continues to strengthen his skill set, invest in his learning, and remain amenable to new ideas and to gaining new knowledge on a day-to-day basis.” Berdan served as the chairman of the Tarrant County chapter of the American Heart Association and has played important roles with the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council, LifeGift, Healthy Tarrant County Collaboration, the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce and other organizations.
