Pier 1 hires new marketing director from Penney’s

 

Eric Hunter has been named as executive vice president of marketing at Pier 1 Imports Inc. as executive vice president-marketing, with responsibility for the Fort Worth-based retailer’s brand image and integrated marketing efforts.

Hunter brings more than 15 years of diverse marketing experience. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of marketing and acting chief marketing officer for JCPenney Co. Previously, he served as chief marketing officer and group president for Kellwood Co., an affiliated portfolio company of Sun Capital Partners Inc. that designs, manufactures and markets a collection of premier fashion brands. Prior to Kellwood, Hunter worked with PMK/HBH/Momentum Worldwide, the promotional marketing arm of Interpublic’s McCann Worldgroup, and Creative Artists Agency.
